BENGKEL AQUAMS CHALLENGE 17TH AUG 2023 HILTON HOTEL, KK

Bengkel Aquams Challenge was held on 17 August 2023. It was hosted by Environment Protection Department (EPD) and attended by the AQUAMS partners UNICEF Malaysia, Kinabalu Coders and Siung Films. Siung Films was honoured to be asked to be one of the judging panel for the students Environmental Videos. The event was fantastic, especially due to the participation of young talent in a video challenge focused on the environment. It's inspiring to see young individuals engaging in initiatives that promote awareness and action for a better planet. These efforts not only highlight their creativity but also their commitment to making a positive impact on the environment. Encouraging youth to take an active role in addressing environmental issues is crucial for building a sustainable future.

With exuberance and unwavering confidence, one of the groups took the stage to present their video challenge, filling the room with joy.

Eric Juman, Director and Editor from Siung Films was given the task of judging the students video. He did this together with Dr Dayang Siti Maryam from Tourism, Culture and Environment Sabah and Mr Jul Fadzly from Kinabalu Coders. Selecting the winner was undoubtedly a challenging decision, requiring careful consideration and thoughtful deliberation as each participant demonstrated unwavering dedication.

The event was successfully launched by YB Datuk Christina Liew, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Environment Sabah marking a triumphant culmination of AQUAMS (Air Quality Monitoring in Schools) by the Environment Protection Department Sabah, UNICEF Malaysia, Kinabalu Coders and Siung Films.
