Ripple Recycling Association Sabah; a non-governmental organization for glass bottle recycling and plastic recycling that aims to make our world cleaner and brighter. It does this by teaching everyone why glass & plastic recycling is important, by reducing waste in our neighbourhoods, and by bringing communities together to care for our planet. This agency works like a friend, reminding us to be kind to the environment and showing us how our small acts, like recycling glass bottles & plastics, can make a big, beautiful difference.
This year marks a significant milestone as RIPPLE has relocated and set up its new space at the Luyang Multi-Purpose Hall. We continue our mission to raise awareness on the importance of glass and plastic recycling in Sabah through education.
With the introduction of our CIRCLE Centre (Community Initiative for Recycling, Circular Learning & Education), we are offering a program that explores waste management, pollution issues in Sabah, and climate action. Participants will learn about the SDGs, recycling practices, and upcycling through hands-on activities. They will also gain practical skills to run community recycling campaigns, engage their “kampung” or school, and transform everyday waste into creative, sustainable solutions. At the same time, we continue to welcome and encourage volunteers from all walks of life school children, housewives, professionals, students, parents, and teachers who have joined us in supporting this initiative.
