Our aim is to create a viable film and television industry in Sabah that can provide jobs for Sabahans and provide a platform to tell Sabah stories with a Sabahan voice.
One of the best ways to develop people is to provide them with on the job training and work experience. It was with this in mind that Siung Films approached MyKasih, a Foundation dedicated to increase the livelihood of Malaysians, to work on a project that both told stories about Sabah’s Unsung Heroes as well as train future generations of Sabahan storytellers. We hired a range of interns, most were recent graduates from video, film and media institutions. We were extremely impressed with their dedication and skills. Some have continued to be employed with Siung Films. The intern programme is an ongoing programme.
