RIPPLE is an NGO in Sabah that was founded by Siung Films CEO Jo Luping and PACOS TRUST CEO Anne Lasimbang. RIPPLE was joined by like-minded organizations Tanjung Aru Marine Ecosystem (TAME), TONIBUNG, Upcycled Shack, Moyog Innovation House and One Ocean Empire. The amazing Tressie Yap is now steering the ship as head of RIPPLE with Jenifer Lasimbang, Monica Chin, Juddy Lasius and Marjorie running various departments .
The CarlsBot project is a collaboration between Carlsberg Malaysia and Ripple (Sabah Recycling Association) and was launched in 2022. It is a glass bottle recycling and community empowerment program that helps local communities tackle glass waste while generating income at the same time.
Our job at Siung Films is to help document and promote the work that we do at RIPPLE and Project CarlsBOT. For more information please go to Ripple - Persatuan Kitar Semula Sabah and Project CarlsBOT.
Siung Films, a founding partner of RIPPLE is collaborating with Carlsberg Malaysia on Project CarlsBOT. RIPPLE and Carlsberg Malaysia will launch a three-year program starting at the end of 2022 and will run until the end of 2025.
At its core, this partnership aims to raise awareness and educate the public about the critical importance of recycling used glass bottles rather than discarding them into landfills.
By doing so, we collectively contribute to a healthier environment and a more sustainable future. With this collaboration, Carlsberg Malaysia and Ripple (Sabah Recycling Association) are not only making strides toward a more sustainable future but also setting a positive example for corporate responsibility and environmental stewardship.
Together, we aspire to leave a lasting impact on our community and the planet, one recycled glass bottle at a time.
